This Privacy Policy explains how Brightside Boutique (“Brightside,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Brightside Vault application and related services (“Brightside Vault”). Brightside Vault is an inventory, research, appraisal, listing, sales, and business-operations workspace for curated heirlooms.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Account information. We may collect information used to create and manage an account, such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, account role, and sign-in activity.

Inventory and business records. Brightside Vault may store inventory descriptions, SKUs, acquisition and consignment details, appraisal information, research notes, store placement, listing and sales records, customer and consignor information, and related business data entered by authorized users.

Photographs and uploaded files. When you choose to upload photographs, documents, labels, or other files, Brightside Vault stores and processes those files to provide the requested features. Device permission to access your camera or photo library is used only when you choose those functions.

Technical and security information. We may process device, browser, network, diagnostic, audit, and security information needed to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve Brightside Vault.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to authenticate authorized users; create, organize, research, appraise, list, place, sell, and report on inventory; manage customer and consignment records; create and print labels and business documents; provide support; prevent fraud or unauthorized access; maintain audit and security records; comply with legal obligations; and improve reliability and functionality.

DATABASE AND STORAGE PROVIDERS

Brightside Vault uses Supabase and related database, authentication, and file-storage services to host and process application information. These providers process information on our behalf under their applicable security and privacy terms. Information may be stored or processed in locations where Brightside or its service providers operate.

AI-ASSISTED APPRAISAL PROCESSING

Brightside Vault may use artificial-intelligence services to assist with appraisal research, object descriptions, classification, pricing context, or related suggestions. Information submitted for an AI-assisted task may include item descriptions, photographs, research notes, and other relevant inventory details. AI-generated output is informational, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and is subject to human review. Do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information in an AI request.

CUSTOMER AND CONSIGNOR INFORMATION

Authorized users may enter customer or consignor information for legitimate business operations. This information should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the transaction, service, consignment, recordkeeping, or support purpose. Brightside Vault is not intended to store payment-card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or unrelated sensitive personal information.

PUBLIC APPRAISAL PAGES AND SHARING

Some appraisal reports, listings, certificates, or item pages may be intentionally published or shared through a public link. Information placed on a public page can be viewed by anyone with access to that page and may be copied or indexed. Authorized users should review a record before publishing it and avoid including private customer or consignor information. Contact Brightside Boutique to request correction or removal of a public page.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, storage, security, AI-assisted processing, communications, analytics, or application operations; when an authorized user intentionally publishes or shares a record; when required by law or a valid legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect Brightside Boutique, our users, customers, property, or rights.

DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Brightside Vault, maintain business and appraisal records, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes, preserve security and audit history, and enforce agreements. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or systems until routine deletion or archival cycles are completed.

ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND DELETION

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your Brightside Vault use by contacting Brightside Boutique. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Certain records may be retained when required for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, appraisal documentation, or legitimate business purposes.

SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential, use an appropriately secured device, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Brightside Vault is a business application and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app. Contact us if you believe such information has been provided.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

Brightside Vault may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Brightside Boutique is not responsible for those independent practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Brightside Vault, our service providers, or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
